Dress by Muscat Bridal. Silk moroccain gown with puddle train. Circle embroidery top with mini peplum and scalloped edges.
The Muscat Bridal philosophy is to create contemporary wedding dress for the modern bride. In 2014 the brand was hailed as best newcomer to the bridal scene and we continue to establish a reputation for exquisite minimal design with a touch of romance.
At Muscat Bridal we are passionate about detail and quality. We source the most luxurious fabrics and work with mills in the UK and Europe to develop our own textiles. The dresses are light and allow for movement, but are constructed in a way that will support and flatter. Finished off with couture techniques and lined is silk satin, each dress is beautiful inside and out.
Each Muscat collection is made up of a selection of dresses, separates, over-skirts, trains and accessories. This way the bride can put together a look that suits her personality. Architectural pieces of silk duchess and brocade can be mixed with soft tulle. ‘Basics’ of the most luxurious silk crepe can be transformed with delicate lace. Create subtle drama with the addition of a sweeping train in a light organza.
Every Muscat wedding dress is lovingly designed and handmade to order in our London atelier. This allows a bride to work with Kevin on adapting parts of the design if necessary. Kevin also designs bespoke pieces.
Having created garments for many celebrities Kevin understands the importance of fit and makes sure each wedding dress looks amazing from every angle. Fittings are included in the price of the dress in order to make sure you get the perfect look for your big day
Self taught designer Kevin Muscat has been called ‘a visionary in bridal fashion’. He moved from his native Malta to London nearly twenty years ago to pursue a career in dancing that took him to the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne and international tours including Matthew Bourne’s world famous all-male Swan Lake.
Upon hanging up his ballet shoes, Kevin moved into fashion, developing his extensive self-thought skills while working for four years under Stevie Stewert, co-founder of internationally acclaimed 80s brand BodyMap, creating costumes for pop icons such as Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears and Cheryl Cole.
After occasionally lecturing pattern-cutting at London College of Fashion and also engaging in his own further study in couture tailoring at Central St Martins, Kevin set up his own label, Muscat. His background as a ballet dancer continues to inspire movement in his collections.
