Bridal Buyer picked Kevin’s brain about his new Collection and the freshest trends. Read below.

“Muscat made its debut at White Gallery London last May, impressing buyers with its contemporary designs using luxurious fabrics.

As he prepares his next collection for the designer exhibition in May we spoke to London-based designer Kevin Muscat to find out what’s in store this year.

  • How many pieces will you be showing at White Gallery?

The new collection is made up of 20 looks, some of them dresses as well as a number of separates.

  • What will be the key theme across your new collection?

The collection for this year is inspired by the ranunculus flower and its meaning – radiant charm, attractiveness, amazement. I think this sums up our brides!

  • And what about fabrics, any new ones you have used or any which are particularly prevalent?

Our main basic this season is a delightful heavy crepe with amazing drape. We’re also using a polka dot net, a metallic embroidered net and a sequinned net.

  • Is there anything in particular your stockists are asking for?

My stockists are asking for things that are modern and less traditional.

  • What do you think the next big thing is for the bridal industry?

I think alternative is becoming more of a trend in the bridal industry. Brides want to wear something more unique.”
